First thing this morning, J1 intercepted her pulling the chair into the kitchen chanting “cookie…cookie…”.
After naptime I was met by a completely naked baby who had peed all over EVERYTHING in her crib.
After lunch, she got into the refrigerator and threw two eggs on the floor.
A bit ago, I heard the cookie jar lid and found her back on the dining room chair, in the kitchen, literally with her hand in the cookie.  I got her down, put the chair back and told her she had to ask for a cookie.
So, just now, I hear soft crying. She has dragged the chair back into the kitchen and is standing in front of the cookie jar and crying. Why can’t she just ask for a cookie??
Oh MY GOODNESS!!! I can’t make this stuff up!!! While I took a call from my Hubs just now, she poured her water all over the living room carpet. What is going on?!? And, how am I going to survive until bedtime in 6 hrs and 20 mins?!?!?!
UGH!!!

Oh, my dear. I’ve been there, if it’s any help at all.
When I had Luke, Shawn and I came up with what is still the #1 encouraging phrase we say to each other every time we have a moment like the ones you’ve been having all day: “It gets easier.” And it has. I think I’m going to needle point that on a sampler… or a straight-jacket. Whichever I need first. Hang in there.
I don’t miss days like that! Hope Sunday is better!
