I’m stressed out about some deadlines that have come and gone.  Deadlines I did not meet.  I’m also stressed by a situation at work that I can’t fix.

So when I woke up this morning and realized my calendar was blank (yes, BLANK!!) for today, I sort of lost my mind.  Instead of doing the things I should have done….I did other things.

First, I finished my First Saturday Quilt block.  What a fussy block!  To be honest, if they are all like this, I might not even try to keep up.  I did NOT enjoy working on it, but I do feel satisfied that I am done with it! Now I can go tomorrow and get my next block without having to pony up 5 more dollars!  Sweet!

Then I knit up a quick cozy for my iPod Touch so I can toss it in my purse without worrying about it!  I originally started it on some sock yarn and size 2 needles but realized I needed something quicker than that!  So, then some bulky yarn and size 10 needles and I came up with this:

And, now I really should make some headway on other things. (sigh – being responsible is really no fun!)

One Thought on “What I did when I should have been doing other things

  1. Love the iPod holder! Too cute!

And the quilt block is wonderful! Love the flower! … Looks time consuming, but really pretty. 🙂
