Saturday was spent cleaning, doing laundry and decorating for Christmas. We pushed through the sniffles and headaches and got it done! But Sunday, oh my word. We did NOTHING!

I downloaded a few more knitting podcasts and a new audiobook and finished my charity hat for the week. Dh tried on the new one and it was decided he would like one of these beanie styles (no folded over edge) so I worked for quite awhile to cast-on two hats at once ala Magic Loop. I am SO glad that is behind me! What a pain in the arse! But it’s done and now I can merrily knit away – striping as the mood strikes me – and hopefully I’ll have my weekly charity hat and a gift for DH done before next weekend!

All these knitting/crafy podcasts have encouraged me to finish the sweater. You remember it right? What you don’t remember all the way back to January 14, 2006? Then I mentioned having done the back and 1 side on October 6, 2006 – and then…silence. Well, guess what? I knit on it for a couple of hours last night and 1.5 today and…I’ve got the back and 1 side almost done. Readers who have had their coffee will realize that the math does not add up! Well, sadly – I had to frog about 8 inches last night as I realized I had not read the pattern correctly. πŸ™ And, now – I’m finally back where started. (sigh)

And, I think 1 year to complete a sweater is a bit much – don’t you? So, let’s agree to get this done before January 14, 2007. What part do you want to knit? πŸ˜‰ It’s still boring. And, I’m still worried it will not fit me when it’s done. But it’s still some of the nicest yarn I’ve ever knit with and the fact that the stockinette is boring means that I can finish this Henry James story without dropping stitches! Hey! There is an upside to everything!

Only two days until my lace class and arrival of my new book!!

Go Amy! Go Amy! Go Amy! :o) Yeah! I can’t wait to see it. I can’t wait to hear about your lace class. I posted some on lace and forgot some so will post more. I’ve never taken a class so I would love to hear what the “expert” tells you!
