This is what J1 looked like just seconds before he flew out the door with his dad heading to the Boy Scout Cabin. They will be camping overnight up in the coastal foothills (well, more valley than hills). He doesn’t know yet that his ONLY friend in the troop will not be going along. 🙁 I’m hoping he will make new friends, but I’m not sure that he will try. I’m sort of sad for him. I will pray for him the whole time that he will have a good time and make friends. I’d appreciate if you’d remember him in your prayers too.

Just wanted to share what I was putting on other guestbooks tonight:
Today we celebrate one of the most amazing yet totally incomprehensible days in all of history. I wanted to share some verses that speak of this day, praying that they’ll touch your heart as they have mine. Still here praying!
Isaiah 52:14 As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men:
Isaiah 53:4-6 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Matthew 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
John 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

Vivit! He lives! Know that you’re in my thoughts and prayers especially today as we celebrate our risen Savior!
Job 19:25-27 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.

  4. He sure looks cute… I hope his campout went good!
