We were finishing up devotions when J2 asked when Princess’ birthday was – I told him and that lead to figuring out everyone’s birthday in our family. As we counted up the people we counted to seven: Dad, Mom, J1, J2, J3, Joshua and Princess. As J2 left the room he said “but in real life that is 6.” J1 looked at me and quietly said, “I’m forgetting Joshua’s laugh.” Me too, baby. Me too. 🙁

Oh amy, I went from being so happy with the Mission Pink Sheet to crying.
I pray Princess will be able to help mend your hearts.
But his smile is always here for us.
I remember when I first realized that I couldn’t remember the sound of my brother’s voice (probably about the same age as J2) or the color of his eyes or how he felt or smelled. I know that looking at the pics is hard for you, but maybe J2 would benefit. I love the pictures, every single one of them that I have. They help me remember. And I can’t wait to see him in Heaven! If he mentions again, you might let him know that it’s normal to forget so that he doesn’t think he is a terrible big brother!
Amy, I’m just getting around to reading some of these I had not had a chance to read yet… This made me cry… I read it to M and she thought it was sad, too.
love ya.
