I finally got to talk to the OR caseworker today. It seems the “tummy mom” is in the hospital and has decided that she wants to get clean and be a parent. thud That was my heart.

This has never happened before…she’s never tried. How do I tell the boys? Do I tell the boys? Why wouldn’t she try for them but she’ll try for her? I’m sure it will do no good to tell them what is happening.

Today they are visiting her again to see if they can get her in rehab and give her the list of things she’ll need to accomplish. The casework told me they will continue to work to reunification AND termination at the same time. If, when the termination hearing is held she has made adequate progress, the judge will probably decide to give her more time.

Wow. What a way to start the week…..

  7. Amy, I am sorry. I know it must be so very hard for you.
I will talk to you tomorrow at knitting, ok?

  8. All I can say is – May the peace of God, which passes all understanding keep your heart and your mind.

Also a hymn comes to mind

I know who holds the future and He guides us with His hands.
With God things don’t just happen.
    Everything by Him is planned.
So as you face tomorrow, with it’s problems large and small.
    Trust the God of miracles.
    Give to Him your all

    Praying as we speak

    Hi Amy.

My heart is very sad for you and your family. I have dealt with 2 mommies in my daycare who have done the same thing with “trying” to clean up. Without the Lord in her life, it will be next to impossible.

My family will keep your baby daughter in our prayers for protection and comfort for you and Eric. We will pray for a victorious outcome.

God loves you so much Amy. You are a Very Very Special Woman. You have touched and blessed my life and I thank you so much for your friendship.

    M.S.
