This was how my MIL greeted her open WORKING refrigerator after 27 hours of no power! I laughed but when I got home I turned on and off lights and ran my garbage disposal – just because I could!! 😀

We are heating up our house again with a slight concern that the next storm that is expected any minute might undo the work that PG&E did.

We are all well and safe. My sister’s family has no power still – and for them that means no running water too. So, please be praying for them.

We plan to still have J1’s squire birthday party in a matter of hours, but at least I don’t have to prepare the food by candlelight!! PTL!

Off to post yesterday’s video since I wasn’t able to get online!

6 Thoughts on ““Hello Refrigerator lightbulb – I love you!”

  1. Praise the Lord that you all are okay. I’ve been wondering about you and if you were one of the unfortunate thousands who lost their power! Hope it stays on for you, and that you have a fun birthday party…with electricity!

  2. Sorry to hear your power was out for so long. I don’t think this storm is going to have the wind to do as much damage so hopefully you are safe. We only had it out for an hour, but it was a LONG hour with the girls…”why can’t we have popcorn?” (microwave) “why can’t we watch our movie from the library?” “can we have more light?” LOL My Mom had the winds in Washington last night. It was heading north. My friends in OR had it in the evening and then WA at night. Hope you are having fun with J1’s BD! (did you know you used his name?)

Thanks for catching that Theresa! I just fixed it! 🙂

  3. *lol* That’s cute!… We were out of power for 26 hours last December, and when it came back on Joe cranked the heat to 80* and roasted the rest of us! *lol*

Hey, I still had heat and water. Granted my problem would be that I have no food but hey, you do what you can!

    LOL!

  5. Praying that your power stays on and for safety for all those affected by the power outages.

  6. Hope everything’s okay at your house!!! California’s having a rough time right now!
