I “borrowed” this idea from Julie – who’s kids are hysterical!

J3 brought me a picture on Sunday afternoon:
Me: “Oh, very nice – what is it?”
J3: “This guy pushed this guy off the cliff…”
Me: “I thought you were going to draw Mommy a nice picture for her computer.”
J3: “Oh yeah.”

Maybe you had to be there – but I’ve had many a ‘nice picture for Mommy’ with jet planes, monsters and the like… BOYS! lol All you mom’s of boys can relate, right?

A Mother’s Day Toast
by J2 – 10 yrs old:
This food is good for Mudders,
And, Mudders are good!

It was so sweet!

In addition to Mother’s Day and all that fun…we got to meet our new nephew, Baby K! Here he is with various family members!

Big Sister came too – and she had just turned 2! And, what does every good farm girl need? Her own shovel, of course!

Finally – my day ended with J1 and I jumping in the van and meeting my brother and family who had broken down on the way home. We spent the night at their place in the Redding area before coming home today. This morning I took this picture of the two Ks – notice the almost head-lock hold! lol

The Chocolates are from J2 – he thinks I’m addicted to chocolate! He’s probably right! lol There were coupons (going to redeem those for sure!) And some neat notecards with my initials too! 🙂

J2 also made me the key chain at yesterday’s family camp out for his Cub Scout Pack.

Theresa asked which Tofutsies I used for the Diamante Socks

Well, I had no idea – so I looked it up here and it turns out it is #722 “Stand On Your Own Two Feet” – cool!

Theresa also asked what I thought of the yarn – man is it wonderful. So soft and comforting! As you know Theresa, it’s not be exactly cool and I’m still wearing them – they are so yummy! Treat yourself to some – you will NOT be sorry! And, try the Diamante! A fun pattern!

Also, Deb left a comment – wait, that’s Deb Barnhill!!! The creator of the Diamante sock pattern! How cool is that!!! 🙂 Yes, I’ve definitely enjoyed the pattern! In fact, I’ve cast on another pair of socks – same construction as Deb’s Diamante socks – but no pattern on the sock itself – just stockinette in Cascade Fixation!! Thanks for the visit Deb – I’m excited to see other patterns on your blog – off to check them out!
