Our committee is done! In the words of the caseworker “They choose you!”…ok…I think we were their only choice! LOL But they said lots of nice stuff about us!!! On the other side, they said our house was pretty small (and getting smaller!!), we didn’t have alot in savings (sigh) and there is a gun in the house (“did you tell them it’s in a gun safe?” “Uh, I’m not sure that was conveyed.” LOL *mental eye roll*).
We leave tomorrow and my list is a crazy maker!! I need to get off here and see what I can cross off this list!
Yay! Bout time! Have a wonderful time meeting your new daughter. Hopefully, you will still be able to join us often. I don’t know what I will do without you to copy. 😉
Congrats! Don’t you just love that your life has to be an open book to sooo many strangers when you adopt? Oh well… not much more time until you hold your baby!!! I’m very excited for you!!!

Small house, modest savings, and a gun came up as negatives? They’d never let us adopt.
I have an apartment and about $2 in my savings… are they gonna come take away my daughter? Those things do not make a good family. JGirl is a lucky little lady to be receiving such a great family. Good Luck and CONGRATS!

Man, they wouldn’t like our house. Joe’s rifle is on a gun rack in our closet (hanging on the wall… Joe’s Dad made the gun rack when he was taking Shop in high school).
Our house is tiny and drives us crazy at times, but then we remember that the majority of the world lives in much less space than we do and survives just fine! :o) And as you know…money isn’t everything…it helps a lot LOL, but there is so much that money cannot even begin to buy! Your home is PERFECT even if your house is small! I’m so happy to see this journey unfold!
