Today I am thankful for….

  • My Hubs.  This is our 24th Thanksgiving together.  We were engaged just before Thanksgiving in 1986 and our families had Thanksgiving together that year.  He and I are a great team. I can’t imagine this life without him in it!
  • My oldest – J1. He is almost 16 and kicking at every guideline we’ve set.  It’s not a fun time of life, to be honest, but I am seeing him make some good choices at time.  I have hope. I’m so thankful for the child who I see is struggling to become a man.
  • My 2nd son – J2 (14). He has always been my calm child. The past few years have been a struggle for him as well.  He is realizing what his learning disabilities mean to life and struggling with that fact. He is a great worker and a quiet strength that will serve him well!
  • My 3rd son – J3(almost 10). He is the lover. The giver of foot rubs and the encourager.  Every mom should be blessed with at least one!!
  • Joshie – who will forever be 9 mos old. His life and death affected me like nothing had before. I’m a different person and slowly regaining those things that grief took away. I can’t be thankful for his death, but I will always be thankful for the time we had him.
  • My daughter – Sissy (3). I am thankful for the pink, for the dolls all over the house, for the cuddles and the “wub you, Mommy”!

I could go on an on – truly! But there is a big meal to be created and friends and family arriving in a few hours!  I pray you are able to take a few moments to remember your blessings!

2 Thoughts on “A moment to be thankful

  1. What a great list! We all need to stop and think about our blessings. 🙂

    Happy Thanksgiving!!!

  2. My darling – we are all thankful for you. You are the center of our family – pure gold. You have enriched my life in so many ways over the years I can’t even begin to count them – but I CAN appreciate them AND YOU! I love you! Thank you God for my wife!
