It was so good to talk to you last night!  I’m glad to hear you are being good for Grammy and I hope you will try to keep being good to one another!  Have patience with one another!!

I’m waiting for Daddy to get ready – he’s taking me out for breakfast this morning and then we have to go meet with some people in downtown Portland before we go see your sister again.  Your sister has a cold – poor thing! And, she has some sores in her mouth – and the medicine turned her tongue and lips purple! Hopefully it will be gone before we get home – it’s pretty funny looking!

Guess what?!  It’s snowing!  It’s not sticking, but it is pretty watching it fall!

Here are some pictures of your sister from yesterday!  I’ll try to post more tonight.  Only 27 hours until we are home!!!

Surprisingly, we slept really, really well! If you ever have the opportunity to stay in a Shilo Inn, do it! You’ll be glad you did!

We headed to the foster home and there she was! She watched us very seriously for awhile…then let us hold her. After the visit from the caseworker I fed her and we played for awhile. We took this video:

Then we headed to Target to pick up a few things we needed immediately for her. Afterwards, we headed up into the Gorge – stopped in Multnomah Falls to get a few things for the boys, and then went to see some old friends from Seminary. After some wonderful fellowship and a meal, we headed back to the foster home. I was able to help get her ready for bed!

She was very happy all day. The only time she cried was when we had to give her some medication.

Tomorrow we have some meetings downtown at the DHS office and then we’ll be back to the foster home. Prayers for those meetings would be appreciated.

Well, it’s late and I’m exhuasted. Eric’s watching CNN with his eyes close 😉 LOL Good night all!

We made it – phew! My mom came over at 2:30 and made us dinner (bless you Momma!!) while I finalized our packing and Eric tried to feel better. Poor guy has an ear infection, but hopefully his new meds will help.

Our plane was 20 minutes late, but we considered ourselves lucky after spending time with a family from Alaska who’s flight was 2 hours later!! Those kids were hyped up and stuck! The girl kept saying “Hey guy-with-computer, watch me!” lol And, of course, he did! Eric and I taught her to do pushups (something we do with our boys when they have too much energy) and timed her on picking up her toys. She was a good girl, but waaaaay too active for that small a space. I felt so bad for them. I felt even worse when I talked to the mom and she was so sad to be going home. It’s a long story, and I don’t even know her name, but I hope having a chance to talk to someone helped her!

Our flight was uneventful – PTL! As we took off I realized what we were doing…where we were going…and why. I started to cry. It was pretty overwhelming.

Arriving at PDX, getting our car (and upgraded for free to a Toyota 4 Runner – Eric is in love!), and getting out hotel couldn’t have been simpler! Everyone has been very friendly and a blessing today!

Eric talked to the boys – who are hanging with my mom while we are gone – and they sounded happy. They want souvenirs from Oregon. So we are hoping to find something for each of them as a memory.

Tomorrow morning we are meeting the caseworker, foster family and JGirl … not sure how I’ll possibly sleep tonight! But morning will come sooner than I’m ready for it – so I’d better try!

I’ll write more tomorrow! Good night!!
