Last Friday, Ruth, Margaret and I returned to the Linde Lane Tea Room in Dixon, CA. After reading Ruth’s review on her blog, the owner contacted her and invited us back to try their new menu. We were really excited to see what changes they had made and were very pleased with what we found! (You can read about our first visit here, here and here -last two links are from Ruth’s blog).
When we got there we were tickled to find out they had reserved the tea cup booth for us (click here for a picture of the booth).  The biggest change we noticed since our visit a few weeks ago was the menu. Instead of offering four tea options, they now offered ten(!!) packages for your pleasure! They offer packages as low as $9 per person – “Cream Tea” which consists of sorbet with shortbread, two scones with clotted cream and jam and a pot of tea. The most expensive package is “Royal Tea” at $24 per person. This package offers sorbet with shortbread, scone with clotted cream and jam, soup and salad, four assorted tea sandwiches, assorted desserts, fresh fruit and a pot of tea! That is a lot of food! Now that they offer some less expensive options, I think I see that I will be able to go there more often – not just on special days!
Margaret and I opted to try the “Duchess Tea” again. The “Duchess Tea” is similar to the “Royal Tea” with the exception of only two tea sandwiches and your choice of soup or salad. Both of us chose salad – and they had some very special vinaigrettes from which to choose. The salad was a very good addition to this tea and we both left feeling very satisfied! Here are a few pictures of our meal:
I just love that little teapot cookie!
Finally remembered to get a picture of the scones! I will admit that mine were eaten but Margaret still had 1/2 of hers when I remembered! LOL
The two tea sandwiches were both savory and SO good! The desserts practically melted in our mouths!
My salad with a lemon balsamic vinaigrette. The cranberries and cinnamon toast croutons were a wonderful counterpoint to the vinaigrette!
Ruth opted to try something completely different – Asparagus and Artichoke Ravioli with cheese ravioli, lemon Alfredo sauce and a tomato and mozzarella salad and an herb scone. I might try this one next week (yes, I’m going again with a friend who works with my Hubs).
The presentation is just beautiful!
And, let’s not forget the tea! I opted for a Rooibos tea called “Crimson Berry”. It was very nice! Ruth had an Oolong Tea called “Queen’s China” and Margaret tried a Rooibos tea called “Rooibos Africana” and then a black tea called “Gold Rush”. We were all very happy with our choices!
Every piece of china on the table is different and distinct! I loved this pot!
My tea cup. My tea was a beautiful red color!
Overall I have really enjoyed both visits to the Linde Lane Tea Room. And, these changes to the menu only mean I can enjoy it more. I’m hoping to get more opportunities to share this experience with my friends and family in the coming months. If you visit, please let me know how you enjoyed it too!

Your pictures came out great! Makes me salivate all over again!
